AN apprentice bridge
There are young people who have drive to become a skilled tradesman. They are often without transportation and necessary reading and math skills to earn an apprentice card. We are now working toward supporting Educational Systems bridge transportation gaps, which can be an enormous barrier to the success of many students.
About our organization
An Apprentice Bridge is committed to rehabilitate distressed properties that are fire damaged and / or are ineligible for permanent financing because of inadequate mortgage security due to unfavorable conditions of the structures. An Apprentice Bridge is committed to the rebuilding of community: people first, housing subsequently.
Projects & Outreach
The heart of An Apprentice Bridge is to provide transportation for students of Oakland Schools to the Trade School of Oakland Schools Technical Schools Campus, to their apprentice job site and back home when needed. The short term goal is to immediately purchase Ram ProMaster® Cargo Vans. The midterm goal is to establish drivers and coordinate student job scheduling utilizing NSO’s telephone answering and calendar service. The long-term goal is to attach a KVH Tracvision hd7, triamericas, 28 inch GPS dome onto the cargo vans and utilize Blockchain technologies and geospatial engineering to monitor and track the vehicle to indemnify privacy and security.
The platform will implement a blockchain framework hosted by The Linux Foundation. Hyperledger Fabric is one of the many projects where initial contributions were made by Digital Asset and IBM. Intended as groundwork for developing applications or solutions with a modular architecture, Hyperledger Fabric allows components such as consensus and membership services to be plug-and-play. Hyperledger Fabric leverages container technology to host smart contracts called “chaincode” that comprise the application logic of the system.
Simulation of the World
Our project will use ANSYS OPTIS' optical sensor and closed-loop real-time Multiphysics simulation with physics-based visualization software and incorporate Hyperledger.
